6 ‘Dog Furiendly’ Shops Wag Wins would like to Bark out loud about!!

This week Wag Wins wish to share with you the most dog friendly shops we have come across in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire and Bath. With the most ‘furiendly’shops assistants giving a big welcome to your dog and even offering free treats at their counter, so not only can you treat yourself to some pretty fabulous new gear, but your dog gets treated too – fair game!

Alfred’s, Pre-Loved Men’s Clothing, Bradford on Avon Alfred’s offers a handsome, swank new way of shopping. An independent shop full of men’s clothing that come pre-loved from former owners who wish to pass their beloved items to be sold onto someone else to enjoy, whilst also being able to gain a little something back from its sale. Upon visiting Alfred’s, you will be served by the most friendly staff, who absolutely adore dogs and welcome them into the shop, with hidden dog biscuits to reward your dog from under the counter. Wag Wins strongly recommend you pay a visit to Alfred’s (by the mini roundabout in Bradford on Avon). Every customer with a dog receives a free handmade peanut butter & banana wheat-free dog biscuit, especially made by Wag Wins, and branded for Alfred’s in a cute t-shirt shape biscuit. The Loft, Blue and Café Lucca, Bath The Loft is one of Wag Wins favourite shops to visit in Bath. Full of the most beautifully stylish homewares, clothing and interior accessories it is hard not to come out without ‘pawsuading’yourself to purchase something. The thriving homeware department boasts tonnes of eclectic furniture, soft furnishings and gifts. The clothing department, Blue, is one of the best independent retailers, offering interesting and adventurous clothing to women of all ages.What’s more, this shop love dogs and are happy for you to browse around with your pooch. The Loft also has a wonderfully delicious café, Café Lucca, situated within the shop where you can to sit your dog beside you!Serving delicious and creative, market fresh, Mediterranean inspired salads, gourmet paninis, bruschetta, freshly ground Italian barista coffee and home-made cakes, with a strong Italian style(Wag Wins personal favourite being the buttery millionaire shortbread). 3). Second Hand Rose, Bradford on Avon Secondhand Rose is a pre-loved clothing store for women, selling a variety of quality garments from hats to dresses, casual to festive. Ted, the shop dog, is often spotted sitting in the window attracting dog friendly customers in to say hello. Ted is also a pretty special dog, in that he performed on stage acting as the main role for ‘Toto’ in theatre for ‘The Wizard of Oz’. As famous as he is, he still loves to share if luxury treats with other dogs who walk through the shop door. Secondhand Rose sells a wonderful range of clothing items, and with its shop window display changing almost every day, you need to pop in quick and regularly to get your paws on the best items, as they get hunted down and sold on fast to new-loved owners. 4). Anthropologie, Bath Anthropologie, Bath is one of many chain stores across the UK and America. Passionate about collaboration and proud to nurture partnerships with both established and upcoming artists to bring customers unique, covetable pieces to treasure. The buyers and designers of Anthropologie travel the world to uncover special products and to collaborate with talented artists. Anthropologie offers a unique assortment that includes clothing, accessories, beauty, found objects, gifts and more, with influences ranging from vintage to global. The Anthropologie store in Bath is very welcoming of dogs to come inside with their owners, allowing you to browse the shop and sniff out your favourite pieces with your dog by your heel! The Bath store offers plates, mugs, tea towels with individual dog breed designs, commissioned by a local pet artist, Sally Muir, who lives in Bath and makes commission items that are bespoke to Anthropologie only. Wag Wins have met Sally Muir on many occasions and are a big fan of her work, we particularly love her fox red Labrador pieces! Lowden Garden Centre, Shaw At Lowden’s dogs are welcome across the garden centre and restaurant, meaning they can be your side companion to helping you choose amongst the wonderful display and range of plants, which ones to purchase for relaxing in your own garden together. Lowden’s offers a vast range of plants, so whether you are a budding Gertrude Jekyll or the next Capability Brown, our team of dedicated staff are here to help and praise your dog. There is also a wonderful pet section, supplying a range of natural dog treats, Sophie Alport dog accessories, sweet William bowls, and some pretty ‘pawtastic’ cards! 6). Heather’s, Bradford on Avon Heather’s offer a wonderfully displayed selection of new ladies’ wear and accessories. Offering brands like Goose Island, Q-Neel, ‘That’s Me’ stretch, trousers, Vera Tucci (made in Italy), Linen, Leather Bag’s and anything that’s different, like their stunning quilts and cushion covers. Another very dog friendly shop that welcomes you to bring your dog in store and be your personal shopper companion.
