This is a one stop destination shopping eating experience that the internet cannot deliver.

The future.

The internet is killing the High Street. We all know this and we're all guilty. This location, this concept, however, I believe is the way forward. A fabulous, quality eaterie in a beautiful spacious building all on one level with the high end womenswear boutique 'Blue' and quality homewares, so much to look at. We arrived peak lunch time, cafe full, joined the queue to be seated but this didn't matter as we took turns looking round the two shopping areas while one queued. This is somewhere the beautiful, well heeled (literally) Bath set go to lunch. The menu is carefully crafted to avoid anything which might cause cooking aromas to embed themselves on the clothes. We kept it simple, all choosing a salad which you can add a main ingredient to - grilled goats cheese, felafel etc. All washed down with sparkling water, San Pellegrino, naturally! This is a one stop destination shopping eating experience that the internet cannot deliver. The future. Terrace available in warmer weather.

Lifestyle shopping at its elegant best!

A modern take on a mini department store, The Loft is (I quote) "lifestyle shopping at its elegant best". It certainly looks classy – a range of achingly cool interiors and fashion goodies under a lovely old regency-styled roof. The quirky clothing is courtesy of BLUE; the covetable couches and candlesticks are from the homeware department Blue Home.

The Loft also provides refreshment in the form of Cafe Lucca, its Italian coffeeshop, serving up a range of Mediterranean delicacies, including bruschetta, organic soups, paninis and Italian wines.
