HISTORY

The Loft is on the site of the original Evans & Owen department store, who once dominated the area with their carpets, clothing, linen, drapers and silk. They were famous for their fur coats.

Apparently, they would close the store for the Queen Mother to shop, in her younger years.

Blue was created by Suzanne Temple. The original shop was opened in Cheltenham and then a second shop opened on Milsom Street, Bath in 2000. Suzanne's daughter Chloe runs the Bath shop, which now resides in The Loft.
